Before you begin

Driver updates for Windows 10, along with many devices, such as network adapters, monitors, printers, and video cards, are automatically downloaded and installed through Windows Update. You probably already have the most recent drivers, but if you'd like to manually update or reinstall a driver, here's how:

Windows

Exporting Contacts From the Windows 10 People App. You can't export your contacts located in the People app of a Windows 10 computer to a CSV file. However, you can do this from your online Microsoft account and the online People app. From there you choose Manage Export Contacts to export the contacts to a CSV file. While I can map a drive letter to it, the automated/scheduled backup feature of the MyBook Live does works under Windows 10, mainly because the MyBook Live device is not recognized as an available backup choice under  WD SmartWare 2.4.12. SmartWare was working properly under Windows 8.1.

Update the device driver

  1. In the search box on the taskbar, enter device manager, then select Device Manager.

  2. Select a category to see names of devices, then right-click (or press and hold) the one you’d like to update.

  3. Select Search automatically for updated driver software.

  4. Select Update Driver.

  5. If Windows doesn't find a new driver, you can try looking for one on the device manufacturer's website and follow their instructions.

Reinstall the device driver

  1. In the search box on the taskbar, enter device manager, then select Device Manager.

  2. Right-click (or press and hold) the name of the device, and select Uninstall.

  3. Restart your PC.

  4. Windows will attempt to reinstall the driver.
